Dr. Ryan D. Fong is an Assistant Professor of English at Kalamazoo College in Michigan.  He teaches courses in nineteenth- and twentieth-century literature, as well as classes in the Women, Gender and Sexuality Studies program.  He has published on Oliver Twist, and is working on a book about contemporary re-writings of Victorian novels.  He has attended the Dickens Universe ten times, and Bleak House is his favorite novel.
